What to Expect

💚 The property entrance is paved and clearly marked from Mial Plantation Road.

💚 Once you arrive, you'll transition onto gravel roads that wind throughout the property.

💚 Please drive slowly (15 MPH) and watch for guests, wildlife, and event signage.

💚 Cell service and Wi-Fi may vary depending on your carrier and location on the property.

💚 The property spans more than 336 acres with 80 acres of usable event space, so comfortable shoes and a spirit of exploration are encouraged.

Accessing the campgrounds

Once you turn of of the road onto our gravel drive follow through the red gate and keep to the left along the road. After about a mile you will come to a split in the road, follow the signs to find your area of the campground and follow posted speed limits.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do you still rent individual yurts?

  • At this time, Lakeside Retreats is focused on private group bookings, retreats, events, and mission-aligned gatherings. Individual yurt rentals are no longer available.

  • If you are interested in hosting a group experience or retreat at Lakeside, please contact us for availability and booking information.

What is your pet policy?

  • Dogs and other pets are not permitted at Lakeside events or group bookings unless specifically approved in advance.

  • This policy helps us maintain a safe, comfortable environment for guests, staff, wildlife, and other visitors on the property.

Can we have fires?

  • Yes! Each yurt area includes a designated fire pit for guest use.

  • For safety reasons, fires must remain within the provided fire pits at all times. Please fully extinguish fires before leaving the area.

Do you sell firewood?

  • Yes. Firewood bundles are available near Yurt 7 behind the Camp Store.

  • Bundles are $12 each and can be purchased using the Lakeside Retreats QR payment codes located onsite.

Do you have bathrooms?

  • Yes. Lakeside Retreats offers multiple bathroom facilities with flushing toilets, sinks, and showers located near the yurt areas.

  • Bathroom and shower access is included based on your booking type and event setup.

Do you have wifi?

  • Wi-Fi is available in certain areas of the property when service allows. Because our internet access relies on a cellular-based system, connectivity may occasionally be limited or unavailable depending on weather and signal strength.

  • We encourage guests to enjoy the opportunity to unplug and spend time outdoors while visiting Lakeside.

Can I fish in the lake?

  • Yes! Guests are welcome to fish in the lake, which is stocked with catfish, brim, and bass.

  • You are welcome to keep a small number of fish for personal use, but we kindly ask guests to fish responsibly and help preserve the lake for everyone to enjoy.

Cancellation Policy?

  • Reservations may be canceled free of charge up to 7 days prior to the scheduled arrival date.

  • Cancellations made within 7 days of arrival are non-refundable. All approved refunds are issued minus applicable processing fees.

  • Requests to move or reschedule reservations are treated the same as cancellation requests.

  • We appreciate your understanding and encourage guests to plan accordingly when booking.

Property Guidelines

To help keep Lakeside Retreats safe, peaceful, and enjoyable for all guests, we ask that visitors respect the following property guidelines during their stay.

Arrival & Check-In

  • We strongly recommend arriving before 6:00 PM, especially if it is your first time visiting the property.

  • Staff availability may be limited after 6:00 PM, and navigating the property is easier during daylight hours.

Fire Safety

  • Fires are only permitted in designated fire pits or approved fire containers.

  • Open fires are not allowed anywhere else on the property.

  • Please fully extinguish all fires before leaving the area or going to sleep.

Property Safety

  • No weapons or firearms are permitted on the property.

  • Absolutely no shooting is allowed anywhere onsite.

Driving on the Property

  • Please observe the 15 MPH speed limit throughout the property.

  • Watch carefully for pedestrians, children, wildlife, and uneven terrain while driving.

Respect for the Property

  • Please help us preserve the beauty of Lakeside Retreats by cleaning up after yourself and leaving no trace whenever possible.

  • Guests are responsible for removing personal trash and belongings at the end of their stay unless otherwise arranged.

Respect for Other Guests

  • Please be mindful of noise levels, especially during late evening and overnight hours.

  • We ask all guests to help maintain a welcoming, respectful environment for everyone visiting the property.
